The Role
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory/Law Society
- Assist in checking of weekly Law Society notification reports
- Prepare annual and routine filings/reports to the Law Society (Annual Employees Return, Notification of Changes, etc.)
- Coordinate Trainee registrations, HK Admissions and Registered Foreign Lawyer registrations
- Coordinate HK Certificate of Good Standing applications and Condition Removal applications
- Assist in "Annual Inspections" of Shanghai and Beijing offices for HK qualified lawyers
- Maintain records of admission dates
- Maintain records of Professional Fees for Employees Tax Return Filing purposes
- Assist in annual renewals of HK/England & Wales practising certificates and Registered Foreign Lawyer certificates
- Coordinate ad-hoc/quarterly reporting for ESSAR Professional Indemnity insurance
- Coordinate annual renewal of global and local Professional Indemnity insurances
- Monitor business card title and letterheads to ensure the
- information abides by the Law Society's regulations
- Deal with queries related to Law Society/regulatory matters and give advice as appropriate
Visas
Working with the APAC support team in Delhi:
- Responsible for all visa applications and renewals/extensions for new joiners, dependents, trainees, refugees, including liaising directly with the individuals for paperwork;
- Updating relevant worksheets / Workday accordingly;
- Advising the Department of Immigration of leavers holding an employment visa;

Your experience
- minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- degree qualified preferred
- strong communication skills
- Chinese language skills strongly preferred
