Discover our Emirati Development Programme, open to Emirati final-year university students and graduates. Middle East Training Contract
Discover the Clifford Chance Middle East Training Contract, open to penultimate-year law students, final-year law and non-law students, and graduates. As a Middle East trainee at Clifford Chance, you'll complete four seats, with your first seat in London followed by three seats in the Middle East across one of, or a combination of, our offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Riyadh. This unique international training contract experience will enable you to qualify as an England & Wales lawyer while building your legal career in the Middle East.

Preparing for an assessment day
Your assessment day will take place in stages. The first stage consists of a virtual competency-based interview with a Partner and Senior Associate based in the Middle East. If you successfully progress through this stage, you will be invited to attend an in-person case study exercise, including a written exercise, at our London office. This will be followed by a case study interview with a Partner and Senior Associate.
Throughout the assessment process, interviewers will consider your motivation and commitment to building a legal career in the Middle East, alongside evidence of previous high performance across the following areas:
