The Chris Morvillo Scholarship was established in 2025, in honor of our partner Chris Morvillo who passed away in August 2024. Chris joined the firm in 2011 and was a dedicated and respected partner who cared deeply about his clients and our people. He was a close friend to many and served on our Hiring Committee for over a decade. He was a tireless mentor to students and lawyers at all stages of their careers, whose interest in an individual's experience helped make Clifford Chance a welcoming and supportive place to work. A former legal writing professor at Fordham University School of Law, Chris understood the importance of teaching, while also remaining a lifelong student.

As a 1L or 2L Chris Morvillo Scholar, you will have the opportunity to embrace team collaboration, receive formal and informal training, and build relationships with our global network. Following your summer, you'll stay connected and engaged. We’ll invite you to join us at firmwide activities like office events, training programs and community activities. You’ll receive firm news and updates and continue to build relationships with the team.
