What does a paralegal do?
A paralegal provides assistance with legal transactions, working in a team with solicitors. Typical tasks include reviewing documents for legal issues/disagreements, redacting confidential information, and conducting legal research.
Is it for graduates as well?
You are eligible for a Paralegal Apprenticeship if you have a non-law degree or have three A' Levels or equivalent (all A' Levels are accepted) with a grade C or above and have a grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English.
What skills do I need to be a paralegal?
Time management, communication, organisation, enthusiastic, team player and attention to detail.
Can international law grads apply for the position?
If you already have a Law degree from the UK or elsewhere, you will not be eligible to receive funding for a Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship as a Law degree is too similar and would be classed as a duplication of learning
Are you offering these roles to mature grads too i.e., 40+
There are no age restrictions to be eligible for a Paralegal Apprenticeship

The Paralegal Apprenticeship is based in Newcastle.

Be open to a range of opportunities and willing to try new things! Networking e.g. use LinkedIn. Try to get some work experience beforehand is helpful to increase confidence and give you an insight into the legal industry. These experiences are useful to talk about when applying for a Paralegal Apprenticeship.

Do you offer the solicitor DA after the paralegal apprenticeship is completed?

Is there an apprenticeship for paralegals?
Yes, there is a Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship which involves studying 1 day a week with CILEX law school and 4 days a week gaining on the job experience for a two-year period.
