Federica Gamen

Avocat

"What keeps me at the firm is the international network, the exposure to top quality and high profile work."

I am an associate in the Banking, Finance & Capital Markets department. Prior to joining the Firm in 2021, I interned and trained with another tier one law firm for nearly two years.

I studied at Università di Roma La Sapienza (Laurea Magistrale), Paris 2 Patheon Assas (M1) and King's College London (LLM).

During my studies and prior to joining the private legal sector, I interned in the legal department of an international financial institution and a specialised agency of the United Nations (in Rome) and with the International Bar Association (in London).

Where did you study and where do you plan to do the Bar?

I have been admitted to the Luxembourg Bar with the title of "Avocat" in June 2022 (scoring in the top 5%).

What do you enjoy the most about your job?

What I like best about working at Clifford Chance is the intellectual ever-changing challenges, the excellence driven and business-oriented work environment, and the unvaluable mentorship I receive from more senior colleagues.

What keeps me at the firm is the international network, the exposure to top quality and high-profile work and the emphasis on continuous training and dialogue with the more senior lawyer and clients.

My development as a lawyer is my top priority and at the firm, I receive top quality legal training and mentorship.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in law?

As a lawyer you will be responsible for the trajectory of your career. Be curious and keep yourself open to work on different practice. This will allow you to understand what appeals to you the most.

Keep dedicating time to family, friends, and hobbies you are passionate about. This will make you a much more rounded person, allowing you to create strong links with colleagues and clients.
