The role

Key Accountabilities

  • On the job training will be given alongside the help and support of the other team members/apprentices.
  • Learn and perform wide range of processing, reconciliation and other accounting tasks that are aligned with your skills and develop your experience.
  • The range of work could include tasks/activities in connection with:
  • Carrying out book-keeping activities including journal postings and its validation with relevant invoices, documentation and records
  • Extract bank statements and assist in various bank and balance sheet reconciliations including chasing up for supporting documentation, identifying and correcting errors
  • Assist with month end management accounts and financial year end procedures including preparation of audit schedules for the purpose of submission to external auditors
  • Assisting the line managers for daily data request for further requested analysis
  • Assist with production of weekly, monthly and annual internal reports
  • Assist with audit testing and other audit work including interaction with the external auditors
  • Filing and archiving of financial statements and accounting files/ reports
  • Assist with a range of office, administrative and ad-hoc finance related tasks as required.
  • You will need to be well-organised, polite and be able to meet deadlines.
  • A growth mindset and passion for learning
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective relationships with team members and Local office stakeholders.
     

Qualifications

Your experience

  • BCOM or MCOM cleared candidates with excellent accounting knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Knowledge & experience of Microsoft Suite (Excel/ Power Point/ Word)
  • Experience in any accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks. etc)
