Job description
The role
You will be part of the eBilling team, who are responsible for setting up and maintaining eBilled clients; submitting eBills on behalf of the firm and investigating and resolving any issues that inhibit the delivery of eBills to the firm's clients.
Who you will work with
You will act as a key point of contact globally for local billing and collection teams; legal secretaries; fee earners and for external stakeholders, such as clients and eBilling intermediaries. You will support the eBilling Management team and report to the Senior eBilling Manager.
What you will be responsible for
- Coordinating and completing day to day eBilling tasks via analysis of the firm's Workflow tool.
- Maintaining a focus to ensure that the outstanding eBilling volume and associated financial exposure of the firm is stable and within expectations.
- Collaborating with and providing guidance to the Delhi central eBilling team to ensure LEDES file delivery and issue resolution is accomplished successfully and promptly.
What you will do
- You will support and escalate to the eBilling Management team as required.
- You will troubleshoot eBilling rejections with the Delhi eBilling support team and assist in resolving issues to the point of successful bill delivery.
- You will support the training and development of colleagues in the Delhi eBilling team and the wider One Finance Team (OFT) community as required.
- You will support and represent the eBilling team on OFT transformation projects and initiatives, when appropriate.
- You will help identify new or improved processes, which will continuously improve performance and increase the efficiency of the team.
- You will assist with the maintenance of client data in eBilling and matter management platforms.
Your experience
- Ideally, you will have experience of working within a law firm and understand the billing process within a legal environment.
- You will have experience in resolving issues which result in eBill rejection by clients and their intermediary platforms.
- You will be analytical and have strong attention to detail.
- You will have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- You will understand LEDES formats.
- You will be familiar with UTBMS codes.
- You will have experience of generating LEDES files via eBilling Hub.
- You will be familiar with eBilling intermediary platforms, such as Collaborati, CT TyMetrix T360, Passport, CounselLink and Legal Tracker.
- Ideally, you will have experience with onboarding new clients and supporting client intermediary change projects.
- Ideally, you will be familiar with client data and matter management processes such as accruals, budgets and WIP submission.
- You will have a basic understanding of Solicitors Accounting Rules and VAT.
