The role

A Finance Manager is required to assist the Finance Director in all aspects of Management Accounts, Accounts Payables and Payroll for AS&H Clifford Chance in Riyadh. The position reports to the Finance Director.  This role offers long term career progression for the right candidate.
 

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing all aspects of Accounts Payables with support from the offshore service centre in Delhi.

The delivery of the monthly Management Accounts within global reporting deadlines, to a suitable level of accuracy, and with high level variance analysis and the reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts.  The Global Shared Service Centre in Delhi assists with postings, analysis schedules, reconciliations and report generation, and need guidance.

The review and control of interoffice current accounts between the region and other offices in the network, working closely with the Delhi team.

Quarterly review with the Finance Director and sign off of the balance sheet for Riyadh, for all accounts.

Preparation of cash flow forecasts on a regular basis working closely with the Revenue Manager. Review and continuous improvement of the cash flow forecasting schedules

You will work closely with the heads of business services departments, to compile and manage their respective budgets, with monthly reviews of costs.

Assisting with the compilation and submission in the firm's budgeting tool (Hyperion Planning) of the annual Budget and bi-annual Forecasts for the region, which includes headcount, costs and income.

Assisting with the implementation of Financial System upgrades or replacements as appropriate.

Preparing the monthly Payroll for the Riyadh office working closely with the HR team. Attention to detail is essential, as is a good working relationship with our HR team.

Ensuring continued payroll compliance and management of any statutory or regulatory changes in all jurisdictions for example, Wages Protection System (WPS) introduction, changes in GOSI (Saudi social security) contribution and so on.  Working with the payroll supplier if changes are required to the software.

The review (where necessary) of Partners' payments including the completion of the monthly returns.

Identifying appropriate tasks for transition to the Delhi team and provide support to those teams.

The completion of all statutory requirements for filing of accounts and tax returns in Riyadh including liaising with our local tax advisors to complete these returns on time.

Other ad hoc tax compliance and queries within the region.

Assisting the Finance Director with all aspects of audit including internal and external audits, assisting with the implementation of new controls required as appropriate.

Managing the local relationships with insurers for property and public liability insurance (in consultation with the central team in London) including completing the annual insurance questionnaires.

Managing the local banking relationships with the firm's bank.

From time-to-time there will be ad hoc work from Finance Director
 


Qualifications

Your experience

You will be a qualified/part-qualified accountant with experience of producing Management Accounts and budgeting.

Experience of auditing and preparing statutory accounts would be an advantage, as would experience of preparing payroll.

You will be a bright, highly motivated, adaptable and organised self-starter, accustomed to working in a very busy environment.

You will be able to make effective decisions, manage your own time and make suggestions to improve processes.

Inter-personal skills are important, as working closely with the firm's finance team, partners and lawyers is an important part of the role. You will be confident and be influential. You will also have the ability to adapt your communication style appropriately.

Experience of Oracle Financials and Hyperion Planning would be an advantage.

You will be proficient in Excel spreadsheets and have knowledge of Word.
