The Role

The Global HR Core Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, compliant, and efficient delivery of core HR services across multiple regions. This position supports employees and HR partners globally by managing essential HR operational activities, maintaining accurate data within HR systems, and providing timely, high-quality outputs in line with global standards.

Working within a global service delivery framework, the specialist serves as a subject-matter expert for core HR processes such as onboarding, employee data management, and organisational changes. The role is responsible for upholding service level agreements, ensuring adherence to compliance requirements, and actively contributing to process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
 

Who you will work with

 You will work closely with the global HR partners, providing essential operational support and resolving queries and cases from employees, managers, and other internal stakeholders to support the broader HR function and the firm.

The role covers a wide range of core HR processes, including employee lifecycle administration, data management, and compliance activities. You will collaborate with colleagues across the network to address varied operational needs and ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.

You will liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure that all HR processes are executed smoothly and efficiently. Your focus on accuracy and service excellence will help deliver a positive experience for all employees and stakeholders throughout their interactions with HR.
 

What you will be responsible for

  • Preparing and issuing HR reference letters, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery in line with firm policies and local requirements.
  • Managing the onboarding process for new joiners, validating required documentation, liaising with the new employees, managers, and all other relevant departments to facilitate a smooth transition into the firm.
  • Supporting the administration of HR surveys by creating and distributing them to relevant employee groups, monitoring response rates, and collating results for further analysis.
  • Assisting with internal employee cycles by coordinating the collection of supporting documentation, updating HR systems, and communicating outcomes to relevant stakeholders and employees.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the HR system, ensuring all changes are processed promptly and in accordance with data protection requirements.
  • Responding to queries from employees regarding various HR processes and providing clear and timely information to support a positive employee experience.
  • Collaborating with HR colleagues across the network to ensure consistency and best practice in the delivery of core HR services.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance service delivery within HR operations.
     

What you will do

  •  The role-holder will require understanding of the strategic direction set by senior management and its impact on the team goals
  • Establishing and managing the process design for HR processes for end to end employee cycle in a global set up
  • Design, develop and support the implementation of HR operating model across the employee lifecycle
  • Create new solutions and wherever needed, adapt to existing processes and procedures
  • Focusing on delivering HR customer and transactional support our expectations include: evaluating and analyzing complex employee HR and system questions, requests, or concerns; quickly interpreting the situation, resolving appropriate resolution or blocking issues, and communicating the resolution to the customer in accordance with established standard operating procedures and approved guidelines.
  • Learn and perform newly transitioned processes and over time gain subject matter expertise in the respective departments
  • Adhere to and demonstrate high proficiency in agreed critical metrics & SLAs
  • Demonstrate Knowledge in HR Shared Services space and integration of its processes with HR technologies across countries
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in driving process standardization and streamlining 
  • Demonstrate flexibility to learn new tools such as Qualtrics, Contracts Express etc. and new processes that are being defined under the ambit of HR Transformation programme.

 


Qualifications

Your experience 

  • Graduate degree in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience, working with a multinational organisation in an HR Operations or HR Shared Services environment is mandatory. Experience working in professional services will be an added advantage
  • Deep understanding and strong knowledge of HR processes delivered out of a Shared Service or HR Operations set up
  • Experience working in HR Information systems such as PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Objective Manager, others is mandatory.  Hands-on experience and working knowledge of HR business processes in Workday is mandatory.
  • Analytical and data-driven, leveraging data available to drive process enhancements
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).  Proficiency in Power BI will be an added advantage
  • Proven ability for building a HR process that deliver an effective people experience
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills as well as ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in partnering with senior stakeholders and managing various stakeholder groups effectively.
  • Excellent relationship management skills – display sensitivity to organisational dynamics and cultivate relationships across functions to drive results.
  • Personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations
  • Flexibility to adapt to a variety of engagement types, working hours and work environments
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) – ability to adapt communication upwards and downwards for appropriate levels of detail
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and constructively challenge to achieve productive solutions for complex business problems.
