Job description
You will work closely with the Warsaw Hub Lead, Local HR Specialist, Country Head of HR, HRBPs and key relevant stakeholders to deliver people priorities aligned to the firm's People and Talent Strategy. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day local HR operations, processes and procedures. You will also work with your wider HR team where required to ensure that you deliver consistent, highly efficient people priorities and processes as well as a high-level employee experience both within the local office and across the region.
You will act as a trusted advisor on all aspects of local HR topics, as well as lead automation and process review efforts primarily for the local office, but also across the region.
Compliance with Local Employment Laws and HR Policies
- Ensure compliance with local employment legislation (laws, regulations, contracts etc.); reviewing regularly all legal and regulatory changes; work closely with the Legal and Compliance team on the drafting of new local policies and/or updating existing ones.
- Oversee all local HR processes, ensuring compliance with Polish Labour Code and other relevant regulations—including hiring, working time, leave entitlements, and termination procedures—while providing direct line management to the HR Specialist, who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of these processes. Ensure all HR policies, contracts, and practices are implemented effectively through guidance and supervision of the HR Specialist.
- Establish and maintain a strong partnership with the local payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Educate line managers on relevant Polish labour laws, internal HR policies, and regulatory updates to ensure informed decision-making and compliance in all employment matters.
People and Talent Strategy
- Foster a positive organisational culture and drive employee engagement initiatives.
- In partnership with functional HR Business Partners and HR Centres of Excellence, support compensation and role architecture design efforts.
- Work closely with Learning and Development Team on training and development programmes.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of all global and regional HR projects.
- Drive a culture of inclusion and diversity and empower business leaders to do the same. Assist with the development and implementation of D&I action plans.
Onboarding and Integration
- In partnership with Talent Acquisition lead the on-boarding and integration programming for all new joiners.
Employee Relations
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders including HRBP team on employee relation matters.
- Instruct and/or strongly influence key stakeholders including HR BP team on sensitive ER issues, and on the appropriate approach to resolve conflict.
- Works with key stakeholders including HR BP team to prepare scripts for ER related conversations including exits while ensuring a lean management across CE offices.
Compensation and Benefits
- Support the year end compensation process as well as provide advice on local compensation and benefits queries.
- Act as the primary point of contact for benefit related queries.
- Establish and maintain relationship with the external providers.
Process Improvement and Automation
- Drive change processes to simplify and standardise local processes to administer efficiently, fairly, consistently and within agreed timescales.
- Ensure the ongoing transition of end-to-end HR business processes to Global Service Delivery (GSD) and highlight further opportunities to deliver a seamless HR experience to key stakeholders.
- Leverage and promote the adoption of the Global HR system to streamline processes, enhance data accuracy, and support efficient HR service delivery across all local operations.
- Once local processes are firmly established, take a lead in regional process review and automation initiatives, supporting broader harmonisation and efficiency efforts.
Skills & Experience
You will have demonstrable experience (at least 7 years) in a similar role, ideally in the legal or other professional services sector and in an international environment.
Strong knowledge of global HR functions, operations processes, and systems, with expertise in Polish employment law.
Demonstrable track record of standardising and automating HR processes, with substantial experience collaborating with remote and global teams.
Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels.
Proficiency in Workday as a core HCM system is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Polish and English, with strong presentation and interpersonal abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Business-oriented mindset with a strong customer service and continuous improvement orientation.
An excellent team-player, you should have the ability to work with multiple teams across the global Firm and within a highly dynamic matrix organisation.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
