What we offer
Hybrid Working
Hybrid working is our informal and flexible arrangement that supports the majority of our roles to follow a 'balanced' hybrid working approach. This means that you will be expected to work from the office for a minimum of 50% of your time, and then have the option to work remotely depending on business needs for the rest of that time. This balance is generally considered over a two-week period. Our working environment at home is just as important. This is recognised as being crucial in today's world, so to ensure you are safely and properly equipped when working from home, the firm provides a remote working allowance to purchase items related to home office equipment.
Wellness
At Clifford Chance we believe everyone is entitled to the same equality of opportunity and experience. Each of us can face a range of personal, work and societal pressures that can impact our mental health and wellbeing. Our wellbeing agenda aims to ensure our people are able to recognise and appreciate the importance of maintaining good mental health and in building their resilience and ability to operate healthily and successfully through various initiatives like organizing health camp by experts, mental and physical wellbeing sessions, yoga for holistic wellbeing.
Working in a high-performance environment can be demanding. To ensure that everyone at Clifford Chance can continually thrive, our wellbeing strategy focuses on building healthy ways of working into the fabric of our firm. We're driving towards a culture of wellbeing with one clear vision and five key enablers.
Bolstering our key Wellbeing enablers, and in addition to our culture at Clifford Chance, we deliver a range of initiatives and networks to engage and encourage our firm to deliver good work. We host learning opportunities and sessions with experts, support an internal Mental Health Champions network and enjoy a range of holistic support pathways.
Three Conversations
Our Three Conversations framework is a consistent approach to developing our talent and aims to improve colleagues’ experience and empower them to take the lead in shaping their careers. This framework creates space to set inspiring and challenging objectives, talk about their career development and identify any support they may need to achieve their goals. This framework link people’s overall contribution to the firm with what they are assessed on at the end of the year and what they want to achieve next.
Ongoing career development
The firm provides each individual with the framework and tools to take charge of their own development. Aside from the Academy offering, there is significant on-the-job learning no matter what your role will be, and we expect our staff to continue to embrace learning and knowledge with a curious and open attitude. We have mentorship programmes and regular appraisals which act as mileposts, enabling you to check in with your manager to review your progress. Internal mobility is actively encouraged and many people at the firm have moved between teams and offices.
