The Role
The Finance team has the vision to be one global team connected within a robust control environment, collaborating to deliver value for clients and colleagues across the Firm.
The role of the Accountant, Warsaw Hub will support Senior Accounting Manager with the preparation of statutory accounts, tax compliance, management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, accounts payable liaison work and other finance related tasks. The role interfaces closely with the finance team members, all Warsaw Hub colleagues, and peers from other global operational Hubs locations
Key Responsibilities
The role of the Accountant, Warsaw Hub is primarily focused on:
Coordination & Documentation
- Collaborate with the external accounting office: responding to queries and escalating to the Senior Accounting Manager when necessary
- Cooperate with other departments within the organization, such as HUB HR and the CC Warsaw Accounting team, on accounting matters
- Store, maintain and organize finance related documentation
- Document finance processes and update the intranet as needed
- Work closely with Centres of Excellence (CoE) within the Firm
- Support the Senior Accounting Manager in streamlining accounting and finance processes
Managing the Accounts Payable process for the Warsaw Hub entity
- Continuous monitoring of the accounting records between the statutory accounting system and the corporate system
- Verify and categorize documents (purchase invoices, bank statements, accounting records)
- Review and ensure documents comply with formal requirements and accounting accuracy
Reconciliation and Reporting
- Reconciliation of down payments and business travel expenses
- Participate in month and year-end closing processes
- Prepare reports and analysis as per supervisor's requirements
- Prepare of documents for payment approvals
- Reconciliation of card payments
- Prepare annual and periodic bank balance confirmations
Compliance and Documentation
- Prepare documents for internal controls in accordance with group policies
Your Experience
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field; with minimum 3 years of experience in equivalent role
- Nice to have experience of using Oracle Financials or similar, are preferable.
- Nice to have prior experience in accounting roles within a Shared Services Center (SSC) or Global Business Services (GBS) environment, specifically supporting the financial operations of the SSC/GBS itself
- Fluency in Polish and very good command of English
- Strong command of MS Outlook, Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, good time management and meticulous
