Job description
Marketing Materials
- Prepare marketing materials for client meetings and events. Manage standard BD and marketing materials (brochures, capability statements, standard bid text and descriptions, deal lists and presentations) and ensure those "off-the-shelf" materials are kept up to date in both English and Chinese
- Draft pitches and proposals (in both Word and PowerPoint), PowerPoint presentations for meetings and conferences, and other client-facing materials.
- Assist the Asia Pacific CMD team in submissions to legal directories and league tables, including drafting legal award entry submissions and managing collection of regional rankings and firm accolades.
- Conducting client, practice, industry, competitor, and trend research via firm-wide resources, online databases, and librarian searches.
- Coordinate with fee earners and Knowledge & Information team to produce and distribute external client briefing and other know-hows.
Events and Seminars
- Assist in all facets of event coordination: mailing list compilation, invitation production, taking RSVPs, site selection, making arrangements with outside vendors/caterers, name tag production, etc. Provide on-the-ground event support and assist in registration. Provide support to all follow-up activities.
- Assist in firm's participation in external conferences and help manage the marketing booth as needed.
- Help with the organization and logistic arrangements of overseas partner visits to China offices.
Public Relationships
- Work closely with our Asia Pacific Brand, Communications & Marketing (BCM) team to coordinate public relations, media interviews and publicity opportunities.
- Work closely with our Asia Pacific BCM team and external PR agency to manage the firm's WeChat account.
Database
- Manage the matter capture process for the China offices.
- Administer CRM tool InterAction including maintaining and updating client contact information and mailing lists.
- Assist in collating and tracking of proposals on Foundation and business development activities.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Help maintain local storage of firm collateral and publications. Update, maintain and organize all marketing files, materials and supplies.
- Schedule meetings/conference calls, reserve conference rooms and handle logistics.
Provide general administrative support to the China BD team.
- Bachelor degree or above major in marketing/media/English preferably
- Minimum 3 years experience with professional service industry or multinational companies focusing on business development/marketing
- Prior experience in international law firms a valuable addition but not a must
- Excellent English skills both oral and written
- Good computer skills, e.g. Excel, Words, PPT and other database systems
- Organized, dedicated, proactive, with strong communication/interpersonal skills
