Job Description

Job Overview

Assistant Manager – HFM will support the administration of the global Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) application including future enhancements as well as the metadata management across the Corporate Hyperion Applications. 

Key Responsibilities

Our key priorities for this role are:

  • HFM and Hyperion Planning - V11.1.2.4, Plus with experience in: creating and maintaining business rules, calculation scripts, web forms, mappings and reports, using the following tools:
    • FDMEE
    • Financial Reporting Studio
    • Calculation Manager
    • Life Cycle Manager
    • Smartview 
    • System Maintenance
  • Maintain HFM applications across all active environments (Production, Test and Development)
  • Perform maintenance of HFM Apps including the execution and monitoring of extract and load processes
  • Roll forward of Systems
    • Managing Applications
  • Manage consolidations and integrations; perform validations from source systems and ensure source data flows downstream as required to Hyperion Planning applications
  • Perform data reconciliation and maintain data integrity of what is being loaded into the HFM application and downstream Planning applications
  • Maintain key processes used to support the consolidation and financial reporting with HFM and other applications
  • Ability to perform monthly metadata maintenance
  • Open to learn other New Technology – Oracle R12 , etc.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining workflows (for Hyperion Planning and HFM)
  • Financial Reporting Studio
  • Experience and understanding of the importance of controlled environments used for tracking changes, with experience of using LCM to migrate artefacts across environments.
  • Develop various reports (Financial Reporting Studio and Smart View) as needed by business
  • Maintain financial information within various applications
  • Expert in data mining & Adhoc analysis and routine financial close tasks
    • User Support
  • Troubleshoot end user issues
  • Ability to manage user security roles and access
  • A deep understanding of Hyperion Reporting products
  • Finance and accounting background, with a firm understanding of the structure and functionality of the General Ledger (Oracle Financials would be preferred) and accounting knowledge (fully/part qualified would be beneficial).
  • A work ethic which provides consistent hours of work to provide support to all offices during their busiest times.
  • Experience with Chart of Accounts setup and performing monthly metadata maintenance through EPMA
  • Understanding shared services for provisioning users via groups and knowledge of Life Cycle Manager
  • Providing support/answer questions and resolving issues from the end users during Month, Quarter and Year ends and also Forecasting and Budgeting cycles (end users , FP&A team and Financial Controllers and their teams around the globe)
  • Maintain functional administrator and end user documentation and checklists
  • Ensuring user process documents are up to date and working efficiently
  • Maintain end user training documents and deliver training where necessary
  • Build working relationships with the end user community to deliver a high level of support
  • Assist with system testing after maintenance and service patches
  • Maintain Service Now tickets
  • Update and maintain Oracle FSG reports
  • Should understand and work on Advanced/Smart excel formulaes.
  • Update and maintain Mass Allocation routines in Oracle Financials
  •  During quieter periods assist the larger team with development/project tasks where appropriate

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of three (4-5) years of hands-on Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience with an overall five (5-7) years of relevant experience
  • Ability to analyze financial data and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash Flows)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to understand and manipulate basic spreadsheets Highly skilled in Excel.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Knowledgeable of General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable systems.
  • Knowledgeable of Oracle ERP and General Ledger applications
  • Knowledgeable of other Hyperion applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing
  • Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • Positive attitude and dedication
  • Strong analytical, organizational and data gathering with documentation skills
