Job Description

The Role

Key Objectives

  • This role is responsible for leading and managing our Enterprise Core Systems (ECS) DevOps teams. It is pivotal to the development of IT Operations and the success of our global strategy.
  • This role is accountable for the ongoing technical design, development, integrations, and support (both cloud and on premise) across all the ECS product portfolios (Finance, People, Risk, DM Platform, Business Intelligence, Business Operations and Facilities) in line with firm strategic business and technical objectives.
  • We are looking for an experienced Leader who can bring in process improvements, a focus on quality and ensure our teams are prepared to embrace changing technology and business environments. The current size of the enterprise core systems team is 65 with 6 teams aligned by product portfolio, working within a scaled agile development and support framework.
  • Essential to the role is the ability to ensure team priorities are aligned with business deliverables and value whilst maintaining cost control and team utilization.
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams within IT and Business teams is a fundamental to this role.
  • Represent ECS in the India Leadership team.

Position Objectives and Expectations

  • Ensure the ECS Dev Ops teams provide high quality responsive development, support, and advice in line with SLA's.
  • Work with the Product Managers to maintain product roadmaps ensuring alignment with both technical and business objectives.
  • Work with Domain and Solution Architects to ensure adherence with product architectural policies and standards.
  • Ensure seamless relationship management with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee hiring & training of people, ensure resource capacity aligns with operational and project requirements and competencies are correctly aligned to the same to ensure optimal utilization.
  • Driving quality and accuracy across the design, development, testing and support activities.
  • Development of consistent development standards for bespoke and customized systems applications and integrations, including documentation of the same.
  • Collaboration with our Global Programme Group, to ensure ECS product deliverables align with our project management methodology.
  • Participation in relevant project boards, and collaboration with project sponsors and stakeholder groups.
  • Budget control over ECS (India) cost centre.

Qualifications

Your experience

 

Previous Experience Requirements

  • 18 to 23 years of leading strong IT teams in similar industry, with at least 10 years in Dev Ops leadership role.
  • Must have a technical background in Microsoft technologies and strong experience with ERP systems, in one or all the Finance, People, Risk, DM Platform, Business Intelligence, and Business Operations and Facilities product portfolios.
  • Must be heading an IT department(non-infra) in an organisation
  • International Exposure essential.

Educational Requirements

  • A master's degree from reputable college with high grades (at least 1st class).
  • B. Tech. / B.E. / from a premier institute or equiv experience in Software Design or related field.
