The role
This role sits within the C&MD team and works closely with the Head of Marketing and the BD team in the Middle East as well as the General Manager of Clifford Chance with a focus on the Saudi Arabian market.
In this role you will work primarily with partners and other lawyers dedicated to our Saudi Arabia practice at both Clifford Chance and AS&H Clifford Chance, as well as the broader CMD function, to assist with the delivery of top-quality BD and marketing materials as well as to provide organisational support on a range of initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on practice needs, the person in this role will be responsible for a range of activities which surround our Saudi Arabia practice, including:
- Assisting on the production of formal pitch documentation and ad hoc capability statements for the Saudi Arabia practice
- Facilitating the capture of matter credentials in the experience management system
- Assisting with the maintenance of matter credentials in client and marketing materials in global pitch systems.
- Assisting with the production and delivery of internal and external marketing communications e.g., press releases, intranet updates, social media posts, website updates etc.
- Assisting with the provision of client focused briefings and market profiling content through digital and non-digital channels.
- Assisting in the coordination and production of directory, awards and league table submissions.
- Develop strong working relationships with other areas of the firm, in particular the Business Support teams based in India, as well as the Legal Secretaries, our regional Accounts, Best Delivery, HR and IT teams; and also become a proficient user of services provided by each of these groups.
Your experience
The successful candidate should have:
- A positive attitude and desire to build a solid career in the legal or professional services industry.
- A desire to work in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable to change and have the flexibility to adjust work schedule according to workload demands or planned events.
- A strong interest to learn about the Saudi Arabian market
- The ability to multi-task, which will be key whilst remaining on top of the workload.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with demonstrated service orientation.
- Strong general software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc) and ideally some exposure to webpage/intranet development.
- Excellent project management, organisational and planning skills with ability to prioritise multiple tasks and projects and meet deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and meticulous follow-through.
- High level of maturity and confidence necessary to interact with firm lawyers.
- Analytical thought and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be self-motivated and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Native level English, both spoken and written (additional Arabic language skills preferred).
- Bachelor's degree from a reputed institute.
- 8-10 years of work experience in a professional service, matrix organisation, partnership or large corporate environment.
