We are seeking to recruit an Employment lawyer (Senior level / Counsel Associate) to join our Hong Kong Litigation & Dispute Resolutions practice.
- In this standalone role, you will be responsible for employment advice on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Experience in advising matters related to employment disputes, investigations, discrimination and data privacy disputes.
- Experience in employment law support as part of a transaction including the sale or restructuring of a business. This would include advising on the retention, transfer or termination of employees and related issues and supporting the transaction in jurisdictions across APAC working with local employment law specialists.
- Experienced in drafting and negotiating employment contracts and policies, reviewing employment handbooks and employee benefit and incentive schemes, pensions, personal data privacy issues, immigration matters, discrimination claims, termination and entitlement disputes, advising on new and proposed employment legislation for Hong Kong and major APAC jurisdictions
- Minimum of 6+ years PQE, Hong Kong qualified.
- Chinese language skills essential
- An excellent academic history is essential.
- Lawyers at all levels must have excellent document drafting skills. You should demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills along with a high level of commercial awareness.
- You will be ambitious and keen to take ownership and responsibility in your work.
- You will be able to work independently and provide practical, commercial solutions.
