We currently have an exciting position available for a Dutch speaking HR Officer to join the HR team in our Amsterdam office. We have an ambitious growth and talent strategy. Therefore we are looking to attract people who are customer service focused, strive for excellence, and enjoy working in a fun and highly collaborative working environment.

 

What will you be responsible for

As our HR officer you will primarily be responsible for supporting the HR business partners who offer high quality HR services to our Legal and Business Professional departments. In addition, you will offer general support to the HR team.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Answering questions from employees and Partners regarding HR issues via e-mail or telephone;
  • Payroll administration together with our Compensation & Benefits Manager;
  • Contracts & letters: drafting contracts, extension letters and other related documents;
  • Sick leave and recovery reports: registration, providing absenteeism reports within the office and to external parties following internal guidelines;
  • Reports and overviews: drafting employee overviews and reports;
  • Education: coordinating administration regarding internal education;
  • Performance management cycle: assisting with the execution of the Performance Management Cycle (including gathering relevant data);
  • On- and offboarding: you will be responsible for an efficient HR-process for new joiners and leavers and continuously improving the onboarding experience for all our employees.
  • Workday: keeping employee administration up to date in Workday and using the system efficiently.

 

Who will you be working with

The HR team is responsible for talent acquisition, performance management, career development, wellbeing and total rewards. Currently our team exists of two HR managers, one HR advisor, one HR officer (open position), a Reward & Benefits manager, one Resource Manager, one Recruitment manager and two Recruiters. The team is led by the Head of HR and Talent. 

Within the team, as well as within the office, informal activities are organized regularly. For example: boat trips with our company boat, Friday drinks, sport competitions, and tickets for theatre shows.


Qualifications

Your experience

  • You have at least 1-2 years of experience in a relevant HR or assistant role (preferably within a law firm or other professional services firm);
  • HBO/WO education, preferably in HR
  • You are fluent/proficient in Dutch and English (spoken and written);
  • You are pro-active and have a 'can-do' mentality;
  • You have excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail;
  • You have the ability to remain calm and productive when working under pressure;
  • You are service-oriented and a true team player;
  • You are open to change and new ways of working.
