Job Purpose

The Internal Communications Specialist- Publishing is a key member of the Global Internal Communications team and will manage a range of internal communications publishing activities.

What you will do

Working closely with the Content and Editorial Manager, the Internal Communications Specialist – Publishing role will have the following  areas of responsibility:

Working with contacts across the Brand, Communications & Marketing (BCM team and the wider global business, you will be responsible for publishing and maintaining:

  • Global news stories for CC Today, the Firm's daily newsfeed.
  • Right Hand Side content for the Intranet homepage
  • Global intranet pages managed by BCM
  • BCM Yammer content (e.g. press release newsfeed and CC Today new discussion forum)

You will also be responsible for:

  • Maintaining internal communications global calendars including:
    • CC Today News schedule
    • RHS schedule
    • Desktop Wall Paper schedule
  • Maintaining a list of the global intranet pages managed by BCM
  • Identifying opportunities to develop the content and look and feel of these pages in conjunction with subject matter owners
  • Monitoring readership data for these pages and creating regular opportunities to report this data and use it to support improvements/developments
  • Using editorial guidelines and policy to ensure we deliver consistency and rigor to the content development and production processes

You will bring a journalistic approach to planning and publishing relevant content across channels, identifying and publishing content where appropriate to other sections of the intranet.

Other responsibilities

As part of a small team, there will be occasions where you will support the Internal Communications team in the successful execution of wider team initiatives, such as the delivery of internal campaigns.

Who you will work with

The Brand, Communications & Marketing (BCM) function plays a critical role in supporting the Firm in pursuing its strategic objectives. The BCM team proactively manages the Firm's brand and reputation across key stakeholder groups, supports internal engagement and alignment with the Firm's strategy and develops our profile in support of our commercial objectives.

The Internal Communications Specialist - Publishing will work directly with BCM colleagues in global Clifford Chance Offices. In verifying content and making editorial updates, they will also collaborate closely with lawyer colleagues and members of business functional teams in all offices.


Qualifications

Key Requirements

Skills:

  • Familiarity with online content publishing and with the MS O365 suite and Adobe Publishing tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail
  • Ability to self-organise, multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to transform complex information into clear, engaging copy
  • Client-focused, motivated, proactive, forward-thinking, organised, creative and diplomatic
  • A team player, willing to go the extra mile for both the team's clients and the team itself

Experience:

  • Previous experience in publishing feature-length articles and short, engaging news stories for print and web essential
  • Planning publishing activity and managing planning schedules

Qualifications:

  • Any Graduate with 5+yrs experience working in a related field.
