Our Knowledge and Information Department
Working as One Team, you will be part of our regional and global knowledge networks which encompass our Knowledge, Expertise and Thought Leadership activities (KETL).
You will report both to the Regional Information Manager in Continental Europe and to the Knowledge partner in Brussels.
What you will be responsible for
You will have a range of responsibilities, including:
- coordinating the gathering and dissemination of know-how and the management and development of our knowledge systems;
- ensuring that the firm's templates and guidance notes are state of the art, so as to enable our lawyers to respond fast to clients' needs
- monitoring current legal and business developments and keeping our lawyers informed through updates, presentations, briefings and thought leadership materials;
- organising and managing the overall administration of the library (including budget management);
- following-up and assessing information sources;
- organising online information resources and providing internal training;
- coordinating and implementing central projects focused on knowledge management;
- liaising with knowledge and information contacts in other Clifford Chance offices;
- identifying the training needs and following-up on continuing legal education requirements;
- organising induction for new joiners and K&I training.
You will have an important role in ensuring that our collective experience, which is at the cutting edge of client work and legal developments, is captured and used for the benefit of all our lawyers. You will develop effective working relationships within the different practice groups and ensure their information and template requirements are developed and met. You will also engage with lawyers at all levels to encourage knowledge sharing.
You have a strong interest in knowledge and information monitoring and management. Prior experience in business law and/or knowledge management support is an asset.
You have excellent research and analytical skills along with advanced organisational and time management skills.
You work with a team-oriented attitude. You are proactive and committed to providing a first-class service to our lawyers. You have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
You are pragmatic, self-motivated and flexible. You have the ability to take initiative and responsibility for your work, and to drive projects and initiatives until completion.
You communicate effectively and are fluent in English, Dutch and French.
You have a good working knowledge of MS Office applications and database management systems.
