Job Description

  • Work closely with partners on the development and implementation of strategic plan for the investment funds practice and ensure proper coordination of all operational aspects of the plan.
  • Act as the go-to local expert for information about Investment Funds practice and Marketing priorities, activities, campaigns, priority clients, prospects, and credentials.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and pursue new business prospects, including the preparation and coordination of capability statements and pitches, opportunity analysis, outreach, potential client introductions, and the proactive pursuit of additional office and practice introductions.
  • Collaborate with our Communications & PR colleagues to identify opportunities to support individual lawyers and public matters that bolster practice's visibility and reputation via earned media, internal communications and website and intranet content and to collaborate on client and industry events to position the Funds practice in the market.
  • Leading league table and legal directory submissions (external overviews of our rankings compared to other law firms) to enhance our market standing.
  • Support the client listening program by conducting client feedback interviews to gather feedback from significant Financial investors on matters spearheaded by the Luxembourg office.
  • Ensure matter information is captured in transaction databases for league table submissions, directory listings, pitches, partner biographies, awards, and other external and internal communication activities; and managing relevant mailing lists within our CRM database. 
  • Lead all client aspects of an event, including playing a key role in the organisation and taking charge of business development and client communication related to it.

Qualifications

  • An academic degree (bachelor or master) in a relevant field;
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in business development/marketing in a law firm environment preferred.
  • Understanding of local financial services environment (investment funds related background would be considered as an asset)
  • Ability to develop advisory relationships with partners, lawyers, and other key stakeholders by demonstrating:
      • strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
      • an energetic, proactive and can-do attitude;
      • solid research and pitch-preparation capabilities;
      • ability to work independently and highly organized;
      • a consultative, collaborative approach;
      • ability to work under pressure, multitask and prioritize competing demands, while being detail-oriented;
      • excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English is essential, French and/or German considered as an asset.

To strenghen our Business development team, we are looking for a Marketing and Client Development Manager who will actively participate in shaping the business strategy of Clifford Chance in Luxembourg. This role involves supporting revenue growth initiatives by providing guidance on business development and marketing planning and execution, ensuring the successful delivery of programmes aligned with Luxembourg's strategic priorities. The person will work closely with partners, internal stakeholders as well as other BD colleagues across the Clifford Chance network. This role will report into Head of Business Development, Marketing and Communication, Luxembourg
