Job description
The role
Senior Associate is the “Go‐To Support Analyst” for the GPMS application team who facilitate analytical strength using technology/functional knowledge and solving impediments, managing risk, and driving program‐level continuous improvement.
Who you will work with
You will work with a high performing Finance Systems team.
What you will be responsible for
- Working Managing various applications and their configurations
- Figuring out ways to "find the bug" utilizing troubleshooting techniques and all the tools and systems available within the organization
- Identifying root causes, proposing test cases and fixes, and developing new debugging tools while working closely with product teams
- Providing timely information to customer facing teams to improve overall customer satisfaction
- Mentoring Technical Support on technical issues and best practices
- Building relationships with other teams across Customer Services, R&D, and data center operations as a technical expert
- Championing Supportability and Debug ability initiatives throughout R&D
- Provide Functional/Technical Support in ERP in Production environment.
- To work on incidents as escalated by the 2nd line support teams in order to provide resolution for the same.
- Provide Month end support for various Sub systems which includes creating, scheduling and providing the output as required.
- To test the application during the application upgrades and other BAU activities.
- Ensuring that the requirement for change to applications is fully understood and that the planned work will satisfy these requirements.
- Managing the release process and ensuring that all changes comply with the architectural roadmap.
- Managing a team of Consultants, Senior Consultants and Assistant Managing Consultant and monitoring their performance against agreed goals and performance criteria and meeting with them regularly to discuss progress;
What you will do
- Ensuring that all changes to applications are properly documented and that all applications documentation is kept up to date.
- Liaison with on‐shore resources (both IT staff and users) regarding the precise nature of the task if this is not clear.
- Liaison with ERP Vendors (Third Party)and system Developers to provide resolution of issues and fix the upstream.
- Ensuring that all applications have adequate documentation with completion to the agreed standards.
- Provision of adequate cover as defined in the SLA's over the required support hours (this may vary according to the application).
- Ensuring that all quality and agreed timescales are met.
- Minimize the necessity for rework
Your experience
- Minimum 2+ Years of experience in support for IT Applications with knowledge and experience of Oracle Financials.
- Demonstrable curiosity, passion, integrity and outstanding attention to detail in professional and personal pursuits.
- Unparalleled troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as exemplified by clear bug/issue explanations.
- Documentation of knowledge, mentoring ability, and comfort interacting with all levels of management.
- An in depth understanding of how Finance function works.
- Should be comfortable with basics of PL/SQL and should be able to write basic queries.
- Should have a technical background so that he can understand the applications.
- We would prefer a candidate with ITIL Foundation level certification.
- Should have knowledge of basic accounting.
- Should have good knowledge in MS‐ Excel.
- Should be a Team Player.
- Flexible to work in Shifts, if required.
- Articulate.
- Quick Learner.
- Good communication skill – both verbal and written.
- Requires Bachelors in Engineering/Accounts, and strong relevant professional experience.
- Oracle /SQL Certification would be an added advantage.
