Job Overview  (Senior Change Lead - IT, AI and Data - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract  

As part of our strategic initiatives, Clifford Chance is focusing on the successful implementation and adoption of our IT Strategy, AI Transformation, and Data Strategy propositions to enhance our competitive edge and operational efficiency. 

We are looking for a Senior Change Lead for this complex, global, and holistic transformation programme, which covers technology, process and people (behaviour, culture and mindset).

The role will form part of the leadership team for the programme, tasked with driving complex, cultural change across our global firm. They will influence and engage with senior stakeholders, at the Executive Leadership and partner level, to co-create a change strategy and plan that embeds our IT, AI, and Data propositions in the everyday reality of the firm. 

Key to this role will be creating buy-in and sponsorship at all levels of the organisation to enable and embed change. The candidate will need experience in leading complex, global, culture and behaviour programmes, with a proven ability in global technology, AI and data transformation.

Who you will work with

You will be part of the global Change Management function, reporting to the Global Head of Change Management. You will engage with other senior change leads working on major change initiatives within Clifford Chance in order to ensure alignment and to foster a culture of innovation, creativity and high team performance.

You will work closely with C-suite and global Director-level members of the IT Leadership function, as well as the Global Programme Group.

What you will be responsible for    

•    Lead on creating the change management strategy and plan for the IT Strategy, AI and Data proposition projects.
•    Influence and co-create work and plans across multiple workstreams to ensure a joined-up change, engagement and implementation plan.
•    Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to identify and address enablers of change.
•    Connect to and influence the CC@40 strategy and Growth strategy.
•    Instill and embed a one-firm mindset.

What you will do    

Included in your remit, is responsibility for:

•    Creation of the change management strategy and plan and engagement of senior stakeholders and influencers in the approach.
•    Influencing the overall programme approach and plan to deliver major behavioural change.
•    Identifying and addressing blockers and enablers of change.
•    Directing resources, including suppliers.
•    Alignment with other major change initiatives at Clifford Chance.
•    Active contribution to the firm-wide change management methodology and Community of Practice.


Qualifications

Your career experience so far

•    Demonstrable experience leading the change management workstream on complex transformation programmes in professional services and across a range of other related industries.
•    Ideally the candidate will have worked on a large scale, complex, culture and behavioural change initiatives with cross-function and cross-jurisdiction roll out.
•    Experience working with senior or C-suite level executives to design and deliver a change management strategy and plan.
•    Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiating and influencing skills.
•    Experience in leading change across technology, process and people transformation.
•    Experience in effectively addressing deep change resistance.
•    Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of management including senior leaders.
•    The ability to lead others.
•    Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail.
•    Possesses strong analytical skills, good listening skills with ability to effectively coach and mentor others.
•    Exhibits effective team skills.
•    Familiarity with project and programme management approaches, tools and methodologies.
•    Demonstrable experience of working as part of a broader programme or project team on large-scale business transformations.
•    The successful candidate will ideally hold a Prosci Change Management certification (or equivalent) and be able to evidence how they take a proven, people-focused approach to developing an agile, change-ready organisation.

Hybrid Working

This role follows our 'balanced' hybrid working approach and as long as business needs allow, you will be supported to work in a hybrid way with the expectation of working from the office for a minimum of 50% of your time.

You will work from our Canary Wharf office in London. Limited travel is expected as part of the role.
