Job Description

Workday Developer is the key contributor for HR Systems team who needs to provide support on HR & Learning Workday application.  Incumbent will be handling entire SDLC using  SAFe (Agile) methodology along with functional / technical knowledge, problem solving skills and innovative ideas. Incumbent has to manage the Change Request process and ensuring that technical assessments and specifications are produced for the development team to use for coding.

This role demands someone with high analytical ability and who is highly committed and motivated. The person should have good communication skills, excellent at removing impediments and breaking down complex tasks into simple easy to complete milestones, willing to jump in and solve the problem.

  • Solve complex business problems using functional / technical knowledge
  • Improve the overall applications health of the applications by ensuring compliance to maintenance schedule / upgrade to latest standards and guidelines

    Qualifications

    What we need:

    • 3-5 yrs. extensive hands on experience and understanding in the workday ERP application
    • Extensive experience with Workday Project Lifecyle
    • Experience with common integration problems, such as security, and various application support approaches 
    • Deep knowledge of XML Schema and XPATH
    • Experience as a technical consultant in the following skills of Workday – EIB, Studio, Document Transformation, Core HCM / Payroll Connectors, Calculated Fields, XSLT / XML, Web Services API
    • Basic developer knowledge of Web Services (understanding of SOAP, WSDL and close relationship to Schema language) integration using Web Service toolkits or platforms (WSDL consumer)
    • Work directly with key business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, design, consider design alternatives, facilitate discussions and provide out of the box solution
    • Workday Custom Reports and Calculated Fields ,  Workday Integration tools Core Connector, DT, EIB and Workday studio , Workday public APIs , Web service tech REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP , Integrating third party systems such LMS, ERP, Active Directory, and middleware systems, Building complex Studio, XSLT along with Error handling , SFTP, PGP encryption and authentication methods and Payroll and Benefit integrations
    • Analyze Workday release updates to understand impacts of feature changes, in relation to clients existing configuration
    • Techno-Functional knowledge of one or more Workday modules. Examples: HCM, Absence Management, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll interface
    • Experience developing multiple integrations to/from HR/Benefits/Payroll applications
    • Self-motivated and ability to learn quickly through individual research and self-training
    • Effective knowledge transfer skills in non-classroom environment.
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience as a techno functional consultant with ERP background in Workday  
    • Experience in HCM processes
    • Very strong communication skills are required. Must be capable of interacting with solution architects, other technology teams to identify technology opportunities

    Education and Experience

    Requires Bachelors in Engineering Degree or equivalent, and strong relevant professional experience.
