Talent Acquisition is critical to our people priorities to allow our business to be agile in anticipating and responding to demands, so that ultimately the Firm is able to deliver an exceptional service to our clients.
Your remit will be to create and execute ongoing hiring and talent attraction strategies for aligned practice areas and/or Business Professional functions and drive best-practice recruitment processes. You will leverage internal relationships and market knowledge to anticipate future gaps in resource and be attuned to projected growth and hiring plans. You will develop talent pools and strong candidate pipelines in the market and leverage the Firm's Employer Value Proposition to create a strong brand for the Firm.
You will also drive forward objectives in line with the global People and Talent strategy, which is designed to drive Firm strategy through the modernization of the Firm’s people practices and transformation of the HR operating model.
Who you will work with:
You will be part of the HR team in the Paris office and will provide best practice expertise to the wider global Talent Acquisition network. You will work also closely with the wider global and regional HR function including Senior HR Business Partners and other teams across the business, where needed. You will partner closely with hiring managers and Partners throughout the recruitment process, building up key relationships and a deep understanding of their requirements. Furthermore, you will collaborate with teams across business professionals to deliver on projects and enhance processes in line with the global strategy.
What you will be responsible for:
You will have distinct accountability for managing and delivering on key elements of our early talent strategy, notably our schools and universities.
You will also deliver an effective and efficient Talent Acquisition service by partnering with the business to meet the practice areas or Business Professional function's current and future resource needs. In particular, you will be responsible for driving the sourcing strategy, building talent pipelines, designing of recruitment campaigns, reviewing and shortlisting of candidates, interviewing, management of offers and candidate feedback, and evaluation of the recruitment process.
You will manage the whole recruitment life cycle for your internal client groups. You will deliver innovative and creative recruitment solutions to your stakeholders to equip them with resource, so that their strategic goals can be met.
What you will do:
You will be accountable for the following:
Planning & Strategy
- Developing our early talent schools offering and be responsible for crafting our proposition as employer of choice for our trainee lawyers and interns.
- Managing the entire campus relationships for key strategic universities, delivering high quality hires and monitoring activities to ensure return on investment from events.
- Attending key events throughout the year, in addition to those at your key strategic universities.
- Monitoring and reporting on financial expenditure relating to own projects and ensuring that the spend remains in budget and is in line with relevant policies.
- Producing and managing all early talent schools related statistical analysis (with the assistance of third parties) and disseminate to key stakeholders.
- Developing market insights on the talent landscape in vertical markets and providing updates on key recruiting trends to hiring managers and Recruitment Team leadership.
- Collaborating with Resource Management and Senior HR Business Partner teams regarding future requirements and headcount plans to work proactively.
- Building relationships with key leaders and managers within the business to develop strategic recruitment strategies and talent pipeline initiatives.
Operational
- Managing the end-to-end recruitment process for your aligned client groups and providing an excellent service delivery.
- Partnering with the leadership teams and hiring managers to identify and shape current and future resource needs.
- Managing a high volume of recruitment activity, using processes effectively and focusing on direct sourcing.
- Defining market maps and research in collaboration with the Global Research team, with the objective of approaching agreed targets on behalf of the business.
- Providing seamless cover to other Talent Acquisition Specialists when needed for roles across Business Professionals and legal practice areas.
Process
- Adoption of ATS technology throughout the whole candidate and hiring manager life cycle.
- Taking a holistic approach to monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of processes regularly and suggesting/implementing changes.
- Driving forward a number of initiatives in relation to advancing the overall operating model and modernization of processes in line with the global strategy.
- Actively monitoring and measuring effectiveness of recruiting strategies through data provided by real time updates in the ATS and CRM.
People
- Being the face of the Firm in the first interaction with prospective applicants and candidates.
- Developing and managing strong relations with internal and external stakeholders to the advantage of the business and the HR function.
- Providing Partners and hiring managers with professional direction and guidance, ensuring that they have the skills and tools to hire talent effectively.
- Engaging with active candidates and approaching prospects to develop niche talent pools.
- Promoting the Firm's employee value proposition and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
- Influencing at all levels to ensure the balance of best practice and the needs of the Firm are met.
- Managing 3rd party Recruitment Agency relationships; ensuring alignment with our inclusive recruitment practice and promoting the Firm effectively.
- Interviewing alongside hiring managers regularly and utilising appropriate assessment tools where required.
- Sharing information, advice and expert knowledge with other team members and wider HR teams.

Experience
- You will have gained recruitment experience within a legal or professional services environment.
- You will have experience of sourcing candidates directly through e-Recruitment tools, social sourcing platforms, networking, market mapping and approaches.
- You will have experience of interviewing candidates and administering assessments.
- You will have experience in using your judgement to provide solutions to complex problems.
Skills
- You will be highly client focused with flexible and effective influencing, communication and team working skills.
- You will be an accurate worker with high attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines.
- You will be proficient in English.
Knowledge
- You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the legal sector and the current market challenges.
- You will be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of recruitment methodology and candidate engagement. You will also have the desire to innovate and challenge the status quo.
