Job Description

The role

As Digital Marketing Manager, you will lead the firm's digital marketing efforts across all of our digital channels (web, social, email and paid), you will plan and execute a connected and comprehensive strategy that drives further growth and engagement for the firm's  brand and firm across our markets.  

 

Who you will work with

You will  play a key part of the digital team, interacting and consulting with the wider Brand, Communications and Marketing team on a global and regional level. You will support Client and Marketing Business Development campaigns whereby you will create campaigns that are connected throughout the digital ecosystem to help build brand awareness and engagement.

 

What you will be responsible for

  • Delivery of the digital marketing strategy.
  • Lead and execute end-to-end digital marketing campaigns.
  • Lead virtual taskforces on major marketing and digital projects that align to the firm's strategic growth pillars.
  • Support offices/practice areas/groups/functions in line with their strategies and priorities to drive business growth, brand awareness and client engagement.
  • Work closely with internal and external IT/HR/Supplier teams to ensure new platforms are rolled out, built upon and utilised to drive digital marketing excellence.
  • Work within the digital marketing team to lead functional leads [teams?] across Social/Web/Social/Data/Email to drive a connected experience – owning the campaign strategy that explains what we are doing, why we are doing it, and what success looks like.
  • Be part of an integrated marketing communications team, taking leadership for how we execute campaign goals across digital channels – installing a digital first mindset throughout the firm.
  • Owning the digital user experience to ensure we are serving the right content at the right time to the right audience to achieve campaign goals and objectives.
  • Translating data and insights to optimise future projects and campaigns.
  • Review and enhance existing processes with the firm's onshore and offshore teams with a view to increasing speed to market, efficiency and driving ROI.
  • Consult  with various business practices and offices on best practice digital channels and methodologies to meet the firm's evolving digital needs across web, social,  CRM, data and paid [channels?].
  • Ensure there is an integrated connection between offline and online activities through partnership with our colleagues in PR, Brand and Events.

 

What you will do

  • Strategy

Own and execute core areas of the digital marketing strategy and roadmap to drive best in class practices across all digital channels.

Build campaign plans and strategies to help meet the needs of the business.

Add to the digital marketing roadmap to ensure we're continuing to stay ahead of the curve.

Constructively challenge the internal marketing team to be thinking omni-channel with a focus on providing a premium and consistent user experience backed by data and insights.

 

  • Execution

Work with the firm's channel leads to ensure we are marketing with impact across web, social, CRM, and paid [channels?]. Utilising data and insights to ensure we are optimising throughout.

Lead core projects across web, social, and CRM outside of campaigns that will set the foundation for how Clifford Chance are represented across digital channels.

Managing the firm's global social media channels to ensure we are posting content in line with best practices across LinkedIn, YouTube, X and Instagram. Including community engagement and reporting.

Managing the design and build of core landing pages across the firm's website.

 

  • Consultation

Be the main point-of-contact for key business and geographical areas to support their needs through the use of digital – acting as a champion within the business as to why we should be thinking 'digital first'.


Qualifications

Your experience

  • A proven track record of working successfully in digital marketing and the application of digital products and technologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of SEO techniques / keyword research.
  • Demonstrable experience and success in leading and delivering timely digital marketing campaigns and projects.
  • Experience in persona driven audience targeting and creative identification of devising digital techniques to drive engagement.
  • Excellent understanding of marketing techniques, tools and strategies.
  • Strong understanding of CMS capabilities, web architecture and design. Familiarity with the Adobe martech stack is preferential.
  • Experience of leading social media and an understanding of the Social Media landscape and how/where to deploy content to drive organic reach and engagement.
  • Proven experience in email marketing and utilising a CRM platform to drive targeted and segmented communications.
  • Comfort with analytics and data to drive actionable insights and consultation.  
  • Ability to lead internal and external stakeholders,  3rd party vendors, agencies and teams to execute campaigns and projects.
  • Prior experience working at a digital marketing agency or large complex matrix organisation.

  • Excellent prioritisation, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Resilient and constructive under pressure.
  • Self-starter – able to work on projects independently as well as within teams.

This role follows our 'balanced' hybrid working approach and as long as business needs allow, you will be supported to work in a hybrid way with the expectation of working from the office for a minimum of 50% of your time.
