Job Description

Job Overview

You will play an integral role within the UK Inclusion team to deliver the UK inclusion strategy and provide assistance to the wider UK Inclusion team. You will also work with the Wellbeing team where required (for example, focusing on the inclusion elements of the wellbeing strategy). You will offer advice and guidance to key stakeholders on best practice and offer solutions to issues.

 

 

Who you will work with

You will work in the UK Inclusion team, closely with the Global Inclusion team, and where relevant, with the Wellbeing team in the UK. In addition, you will work closely with the Affinity Networks and other key stakeholders across the firm.

 

 

What you will be responsible for

As part of the UK Inclusion team, you will promote inclusion, diversity and wellbeing within the London and Newcastle offices; develop and execute key inclusion initiatives, and engage stakeholders, with particular focus on our internal networks.

 

 

What you will do

Assist our affinity networks (e.g. Accelerate, REACH, Arcus, Enable and Social Inclusion action group) to project manage the execution of their network's strategy, maintaining the budget, advising best practice with innovative ideas to the Co-Chairs and creating progress reports to update key stakeholders.

As the first point of contact for our affinity networks, you will:
 

  • Work closely with the affinity networks to provide assistance to network steering committee meetings (agenda, follow-up actions) and initiatives.
  • Consider key deliverables and metrics, to ensure that outputs can be measured and reported on as necessary.
  • Be the go-to individual in the inclusion team regarding anything affinity network related.

 

Provide event management assistance to our affinity networks, draft communications, and engage with client relationship teams and colleagues.

  • Assist with the promotion of events, including liaising with the communications teams.
  • Assist with financial management, liaising with suppliers post events and tracking event budgets.

 

Manage the internal communications plan for key inclusion initiatives.

  • Work with our internal communications team to assist with inclusion campaigns, and wellbeing awareness campaigns where required. 
  • Draft articles for internal/external publication and develop and update the intranet. 
  • Answer a range of queries.

 

Accountable for managing the UK reverse mentoring programme (aligned to affinity networks), providing tools and insights on the annual review to assess impact. Working with the global team on implementation of global reverse mentoring, providing guidance in line with best practice and insight from the UK programme.

 

Diversity monitoring/reporting

  • Provide assistance for the annual engagement on monitoring and diversity reporting (i.e. lead publication of UK Diversity Report). 
  • Collate diversity data for internal and external publication, including SRA data submission.
  • Work closely with recruitment team to monitor and evaluate use of the Race Fairness Commitment.

 

Inclusion targets

  • Assist Inclusion Managers and Senior HR Business Partners with delivery of inclusion action plans, review meetings and progress reports.

 

External clients

Support client conversations on various inclusion topics and initiatives, such as reverse mentoring or diversity monitoring. 

  • Provide information for client pitches or request-for-proposal (RFP) documents, liaising with other teams/offices, as appropriate.
  • Provide information for client inclusion programmes (e.g. reverse mentoring) and participate on panels for client events as and when necessary.

 

Project Management of key UK Inclusion programmes, tracking progress, providing materials and milestone updates to stakeholders.  These will include Inclusion Committee, Targets and Affinity Group actions and progress.

 

External Benchmarking

  • Lead the UK Inclusion team's benchmarking work (i.e. submissions to indices including Stonewall, Social Mobility Foundation and Disability:IN).
  • Assist key benchmarking exercises with project planning, liaison and coordination with different business functions, to compile evidence and draft replies.
  • Draft awards submissions.
  • Administer surveys, encouraging completion through liaison with internal practice/business areas.
  • Maintain knowledge by keeping up to date with developments in policy or regulatory changes.

Qualifications

You will have the ability to work well under pressure, with proven time management skills and the confidence to drive action.

You will have flexible and effective written and oral communication skills.

You will have proven experience of building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.  You will have the ability to build rapport easily with a diverse audience and be able to influence across various levels of the organisation.

You will be comfortable with data and able to demonstrate strong analytical skills.

You will have the ability to work on your own initiative.

You will have excellent attention to detail.

You will be innovative in suggesting new ideas/areas of improvement.

 

Experience:

You will have experience of managing complex projects, maintaining progress and delivering timely updates to stakeholders. 

You will be practiced at drafting communications to different audiences.

You will have experience and a keen interest in diversity, inclusion or well-being activities.

Events management experience would be an advantage.

You will, ideally, have experience of working in professional services.

 

Knowledge:

You will have knowledge of diversity and inclusion issues.

This role follows our 'balanced' hybrid working approach and as long as business needs allow, you will be supported to work in a hybrid way with the expectation of working from the office for a minimum of 50% of your time.
