Job Description

The Role

The team are accountable for designing and implementing an effective and efficient Reward and Benefits service for employees and Partners.

 

Who you will work with

You will work closely with the Rewards and Benefits Manager UK, the Global Head of Rewards and Benefits; Rewards and Benefits Advisors; members of the wider HR teams and stakeholders across the UK office.

 

What you will be responsible for

You will be accountable for the specific salary and bonus review data requirements for UK, including the management and application of benchmarking, delivering through the Workday Advanced Compensation process for UK and also managing employee and partner benefits in Workday.

 

What you will do

You will be accountable for the operational delivery of Reward and Benefit activities in the following areas:

Salary and bonus review for Lawyers and Business Professionals

  • Job evaluation and compensation benchmarking.
  • Analysis of market data from our provider Willis Towers Watson (WTW).
  • Understanding of relevant competitor market data and remaining up to date regarding market developments.
  • Ownership of salary review timetable and guidelines.
  • Regular communication with HR Business Partners, responsible for providing project deadlines and updates.
  • Support for budgeting and modelling process for compensation planning.
  • Providing guidance to HR Business Partners and salary review managers on the review process and the use of Workday Compensation.
  • Assisting in salary and bonus review meetings and moderation, including for assigned client groups.
  • Ensuring off-line salary and bonus decisions are captured in Workday.
  • Working with our International Assignments team regarding all compensation activities.
  • Assisting the pay gap analysis and reporting process.

Management of benefits

  • Operational delivery of benefits owner including Private Medical Scheme, Dental and Travel Insurance Scheme, Peppy, Primary Care, Pension, Childcare Vouchers, Car Leasing Scheme, Cycle to Work Scheme, Charitable Giving, and other benefits.
  • Accountable for compliance with pension auto-enrollment requirements.
  • Responding to compensation and benefits queries from HR Direct, other HR teams, line managers and employees, and escalating complex queries to Reward & Benefit contacts if required.
  • Contacting benefit providers to help resolve emerging queries and complex cases where required.
  • Management of external stakeholders and suppliers. Working with the wider HR team to define and run tender processes, tracking trends and developments in the market to be able to identify and promote new initiatives.
  • Working closely with HR colleagues to provide assistance in the delivery of HR initiatives and projects. This will include research, communications, conducting presentations and managing key stakeholders.
  • Providing help and mentoring to the HR Advisors and continually monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's processes, suggesting improvements where appropriate.
  • Ensuring data integrity and working with the Analyst in this regard.
  • Continually monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of HR processes, suggesting improvements where appropriate.
  • It will also be your responsibility to obtain the correct level of authorisation for work being carried out and escalate complex queries and requests as appropriate.
  • Support for adhoc projects and tasks as required.

Qualifications

Your career experience so far

Skills

  • Highly analytical with have a problem-solving approach.
  • You will be competent in working with data, with a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • You will be highly efficient with strong organisational and teamwork skills.
  • You will be flexible in approach and be able to deliver multiple tasks within a pressurised and demanding environment.
  • You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, manage priorities and deal with high volumes of work.
  • A strong communicator, you will have a friendly, confident, and outgoing manner and an ability to build rapport easily.
  • You will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience in using Microsoft applications, with advanced proficiency in Excel.

Experience

  • You will have performed a Compensation/Reward and Benefits Analyst role in a large commercial environment, ideally Professional Services. It would be beneficial to have also worked in a Shared Services environment.
  • Experience in using Workday Compensation and Benefits applications.
  • You will have been actively involved with the successful delivery of annual salary and bonus reviews. You should be capable of providing operational delivery and be comfortable in partnering with the business.
  • The ideal candidate would also have good experience and knowledge of Benefits administration/management using a benefits system, ideally Workday.

Hybrid Working

This role follows our 'balanced' hybrid working approach and as long as business needs allow, you will be supported to work in a hybrid way with the expectation of working from the office for a minimum of 50% of your time.
