Job description
The role
Join our global Innovation community at Clifford Chance as a Transformation Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and modernising how we work to ensure that we deliver outstanding value and experiences to our clients and better ways of working for our people. This position is designed to cover maternity leave within our Corporate Global Business Unit (GBU) at our London office. You will be responsible for delivering transformation projects, that often entails utilizing Gen AI and other legal technology, and ensuring the benefits for our clients, our firm and our people are fully realised. This is a fixed-term contract with an initial duration of one year.
Who you will work with
You will collaborate closely with the Transformation team and work cross-functionally with partners, associates, and colleagues from Legal Technology, Delivery Centres, Practice Area Managers and other Business Professionals stakeholders. Building strong relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues in other regions is essential, as many initiatives have a global scope.
What you will be responsible for
As a Transformation Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing global transformation initiatives from inception to deployment, utilising skills in process improvement, data analysis, client engagement, technology and AI implementation, project management, and change management.
- Evaluating AI use case proposals from lawyers and advising on potential opportunities.
- Providing consultative support to partners and lawyers at the outset of matters or other client engagements, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Collaborating effectively with GBU and Business Professional stakeholders, as well as partners and lawyers, to support the implementation of Generative AI tools.
- Developing a network of sustainable relationships, understanding stakeholder needs, identifying ways to address these needs, and using influencing skills to achieve business objectives.
- Engaging in managed or self-directed learning to stay current with the latest advancements in AI and other relevant technologies.
Your success in this role will be measured by feedback from partners, the Global Practice Area Manager, and the Global Transformation Lead; the extent to which transformation projects deliver sustained benefits to our clients and the firm; and the successful implementation of new working methods.
Your experience
You will possess the following experience:
- Track record of delivery of business transformation/client service change & transformation projects, preferable within a professional services environment.
- Management of projects from end-to-end and realised associated benefits.
- Prior experience in the application of consulting skills, creative, strategic, critical and organisational thinking is essential.
